We were so busy with the party we didn't take all the pictures we wanted. Others we got on the camcorder. Since our power went out right before the party and we had to change locations at the last minute, it was a crazy morning! But in the end everything worked out and we had a great time. Kate had a blast, she loved the pinata. Every time the kids hit the duck she laughed. She also loved opening her MANY presents. It was like Christmas morning.
Kate started slowly eating her cake, but soon got into it. Just to make sure it wasn't too bad for her Mary made it out of banana bread.
Mary made Kate a cake in the shape of a rubber duck. This is the before picture. We have to thank Jan (Mary's dad) for coming up with the pattern for the cake.
Mary found lots of duck decorations. Notice the duck pinata. Cupcakes with little ducks on top. The cake in the forefront has blue jello filling in for a bath tub and rubber duck candles floating on top.
As people came in we had a BIG card with pictures of how Kate has grown over the last year.
